The overall length of the Phlebotomy course is 200 hours and it includes classroom lectures by experienced instructors who are not only proficient in Phlebotomy theory but also have real life hands on knowledge of the subject. The program focuses on the anatomy and physiology of all human systems. In addition, all students will participate as required in a supervised clinical study conducted in our state of the art laboratory conveniently located on premises. Further, all students will get an in depth exposure to medical safety techniques commonly used by Phlebotomy technicians for effective infection control, when drawing blood and performing other lab work. During the time in the laboratory, all Phlebotomy technicians will get extensive hands on training with the medical equipment commonly found and used in today's most advanced medical facilities to draw lab samples. Upon successfully fulfilling the program requirements the students will attain a Certificate of Completion which is necessary to sit for the National Phlebotomy Examination. This examination is offered on school premises for the added convenience of the Concord Rusam graduate. An 18 hour Refresher Course is offered to students whose National Phlebotomy Certificate expired. Weekday and weekend classes available! Employment Opportunities Phlebotomy Technicians are able to work in medical offices, clinical laboratories, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, retirement homes and insurance companies.
