Course Description

Medical billing and coding is a highly specialized, in-demand profession. Our program is a 255 hour program which includes theoretic as well as hands on training.
 
Students will be given an introduction to working with computers, including the use of billing software. The course also covers Medical Practice Administration, Medical Terminology, Health Insurance Programs, Basics of Finances and Accounting, Medical Coding, Medical Practice Administration, General Office Procedures, etc… Prior to graduation our students are required to complete 25 hour of supervised clinical practice in a hospital, to get the experience required to work in the field.
 
Upon completion of our course, students are presented the chance to take the National Medical Billing and Coding Examination to further boost their credentials in the medical field.
 
This examination is offered on school premises for the added convenience of the ConcordRusam graduate.

Medical Billing and Coding Specialists may be employed in hospitals, nursing homes, doctor’s offices, retirement homes, and daycare centers for the elderly.
